Debit cards are often needed so as to provide a means for the customer to be able to repay the loan when it is due. Using this method the amount due is automatically repaid on the due date as a debit card transaction. This is both convenient for the payday lender and the customer as neither party has to worry about missing the date when the money has to be repaid.

Many lenders have realised that there are many potential customer that are being denied a loan just because they do not have a debit card associated with their bank accounts. Many now offer the option to repay any money borrowed by using a direct debit.
This is set up when you arrange the loan and it is dated to allow you to automatically repay the loan back to the payday loans company on the agreed date. You do still however have to have a valid UK bank account as this is where the money you borrow will be transferred to you.
When you apply to the lender you can now just state that you do not have a debit card in the section where you provide your bank account information. This will be the account that you wish to have your cash paid into.
